The dataset that supplies MySchools (and NYC-SIFT) has not been reliable when providing up-to-date data on school language offerings.
I am now using class size data as the basis for determining school language offerings. The most recent class size data is from the 2024-25 school year and language classes are listed under the “World Languages” department.
Going forward, any language course listed from that department will now be marked as an offered language at that school. Hopefully this will be a more accurate method for keeping school languages up-to-date!
