Effects of Manhattan Priority on Applicants for the Special Six

Last year, there were two major changes enacted for high school applications. The first was an unlimited application list and the second was the prioritization of up to 75% of seats for Manhattan students and residents for the following six schools: Baruch College Campus High School (02M411), The Clinton School (02M260), Eleanor Roosevelt High School (02M416), Millennium High School (02M418), N.Y.C. Lab School for Collaborative Studies (02M412), and N.Y.C. Museum School (02M414). One question raised was, would the Manhattan prioritization for these six schools have any effect on their applicants? Below is a summary comparing these schools’ applicant numbers pre and post changes (post year marked with *).

The numbers for each year are: Total Applicants (Total Manhattan Applicants - % of Applicants from Manhattan), True Applicants (True Manhattan Applicants - % of True Applicants from Manhattan)

It seems like the Manhattan priority affected each school differently, if at all. I guess we’ll have to wait for a couple more years before we can say anything for certain!
