This post is a summary of recently added IEP and Special Education related data points that may be useful to students with disabilities or IEPs.
IEP Statistics
This is a new section that can be found on every school and program page below “School Demographics”. If available, this will show statistics like the percent of students with IEPs, SETSS, ICT, and SC. Also contained in this section are metrics with the purpose of gauging the level of support provided to students with IEPs. They include: the percentage of students receiving recommended programs and services, IEP movement (as defined by the DOE), regents scores, and a summary of IEP related survey questions answered by families (labeled as “IEP Support”).
Special Education Programs & Services
This section shows data on all Special Education programs, services, and transportation provided by schools. This data is pulled from the DOE’s Special Education Reports which can be found here: https://infohub.nyced.org/reports/government-reports/special-education-reports.
School Financial Report
This is one way to discover how many IEP related staff members are employed by a particular school. This link can be found in the “About” section. Data is pulled from the DOE’s Galaxy Budget Summaries: Galaxy Budget Summaries FY 2006 to FY 2025
