IEP ratings, filter wizard and miscellaneous additions

Some new additions!

  • Get a sense of how a school deals with IEP students, based on survey results. The rating (labeled as “IEP Support”) will be shown on every school and program page under the “Family Responses” section of “Survey Summary & Data”. There is also a downloadable csv file of the same data which can be found in “Data” under the “Guide” section of the site.

  • The NYC-SIFT Advisor has been renamed to the “Filter Wizard”. This is to properly reflect the tool’s function and to reserve the name for a relaunch of the Advisor, whose main purpose will be to suggest a list of programs based on your preferences.

  • There’s a new icon in “School Features” which will indicate if guidance counselors or social workers are available at the school.

  • The DOE will sometimes publish “Building Access Profile” documents for schools which describe the building and grounds of the school. These profiles are now displayed alongside the basic location and website information of a school.
