Newly added data from the NYPD school safety reports: Reports - School Safety - NYPD
This data details NYPD involvement with incidents reported at schools and can be found on the same line as the complaint and suspension numbers under the “Student & Admissions Statistics” section.
The NYPD lists the location of each incident with a text description of the school campus and not the DBN code. This requires me to translate the school description into the appropriate DBN code for proper organization. There are some descriptions which are too vague for me to definitively match to a particular school, so this data is incomplete. Currently, NYPD data has been matched for 343 schools out of a possible 451.
